Twenty-five: Part Three

Today is Sam's birthday. In recognition of this momentous occasion, I've decided to let the world know why we're friends.

1. We have matching box sets of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

2. If I spill something on myself, I know she can't laugh too much because she did the same thing the night before.

3. She will watch Doris Day movies with me. (If I beg.)

4. She makes really good food and isn't too stingy about sharing it.

5. She's a fiction writer, not a poet, so I don't have to kill her in her sleep for being good. (That's right, other poets. Watch your back.)

6. She's obsessed with time-travel.

7. We get equally mad when some Swedish dude dismisses American fiction.

8. She's been teaching my cat to kill since I got him. He still just sort of sits there.

9. She's a very sore South Park Uno loser.

10. I have seriously good blackmail on her. She's not going anywhere. (Isn't that right, Sam?)
